The Glades County Sheriffs Office Criminal Investigations Division consist of four detectives, each holding different responsibilities within the agency. One detective is assigned to Crime Scene Investigations, Evidence and general property crimes. One detective is a full time narcotics officer, and is responsible for a Narcotic Detection K-9 named Sandy. One detective is assigned to major crimes such as homicide, sexual batteries, and crimes against children, and the fourth detective is assigned to general crimes.
The Captain in charge of the Criminal Investigations Division has supervisory authority over the Detective Division, tracks the sexual offenders and sexual predators of Glades County, in charge of the Glades County Lake Search and Rescue Team, and the Citizens on Patrol program, and the team leader over the Special Response Team.
Our goal within the Criminal Investigations Division is to have a compassionate approach to victims of crime, and a pro-active aggressive approach in an attempt to solve crimes within Glades County in order to safe guard the community against violent offenders, and predators.
